Data Grids

A data grid is a series of rows in a table where data is added, edited, and deleted. You use data grids to enter scheduling parameters into GEOVIA MineSched.

A number of functions are available to help you manage the data contained in the data grids. Some of the data grids have functionality that is specific to the type of data being entered, but the general features of all MineSched data grids are similar.

Examples of functionality specific to only some grids in MineSched include grouping, sorting, and the ability to use selection lists to input data.

Data Grid Options

Note: Not all options are available for all grids. Only the options that are relevant to the type of data contained in a particular grid are available.

Delete

Deletes the selected row or rows.
Create copy

The Settings icon also appears in the New Scenario form. It opens the New Scenario Default Settings form, which you use to specify the default location in which you want to save new scenarios.

Show only canvas selection

  • Selected on: The grid shows only the items that are selected in the canvas.
  • Note: If you insert a row while the filter is on, the new row is not visible in the data grid.

Show or hide custom sort order

  • Selected on: Adds the Order column to the data grid.
  • Selected off: Removes the Order column from the data grid.

Note: The Order column is not available for all data grids. The data grids in which the Order column is available are:

  • Activity Rates
  • Activity Resource Capacities
Extract from model

Automatically inserts rows into the Material classes data grid for each unique material class value, or into the Qualities data grid for each numeric attribute stored in the model.
Edit in spreadsheet view

Opens a temporary spreadsheet view of the data grid.
Automatic Connections Options

Allows you to set the parameters for creating automatic connections for the headings using the Automatic Connections form.

Calendar

Allows you to select a date relevant to a field in a data grid using a calendar.

Note: Using the calendar ensures that the date selected is entered in the format that MineSched requires.

Show/hide sequenced objects on canvas
  • Selected on: Polygons and objects that have been sequenced, and are listed in the Sequence data grid, are displayed in the 3D Canvas.
  • Selected off: Polygons and objects that have been sequenced, and are listed in the Sequence data grid, are not displayed in the 3D Canvas.

  • Selected off: The target grade is not displayed on the chart.

Note: This option is available only if the chart contains data for a stockpile or process for which a quality target is defined.
